I'm drawn to stories that linger long after the final page. The quiet horrors. Impossible worlds. Strange humour. Ancient mysteries. The things that shouldn't move but do, and the questions that refuse to leave once the book is closed.
My work spans psychological horror, dark science fiction, fantasy, comedy, children's fiction, romance, young adult, and adult fiction. While the genres change, my goal never does. I want every story to offer something unexpected. Whether it's an ancient alien hidden beneath the Earth, an unsettling presence waiting in the Australian bush, or a completely absurd comedy that somehow reveals an uncomfortable truth, I aim to create worlds that feel both original and unforgettable.
I have always believed that the most powerful stories don't rely on spectacle alone. The greatest fear lives in silence. Wonder grows from curiosity. The strongest characters stay with us because they feel real, even when everything around them is impossible. My stories are often slow burns, built layer by layer until reality begins to shift beneath the reader's feet.
I'm Raven Moffitt, a Melbourne-based author living with Parkinson's disease and fibromyalgia. Writing isn't simply what I do. It's how I answer adversity. In 2025, I challenged myself to write and publish ten books in a year. I completed that goal in just six months. Every book is a reminder that creativity can outlast limitation, and every finished manuscript is proof that Parkinson's does not get the final word.
Whether you've arrived for a psychological horror, an epic science fiction adventure, a laugh, or something impossible to categorise, I'm glad you're here.
Welcome to my world.
Pull up a chair.
Just don't stand too close to the trees.
They're watching you.
