I write the stories that linger long after the last page, the quiet horrors, the things that shouldn’t move but do, the voices you swear you heard when no one was there. My work blends psychological horror, dark science fiction, and mythic surrealism, often set in the forgotten corners of Australia. I don’t deal in jump scares or easy resolutions. I believe real terror lives in silence, in memory, in what we leave unsaid. My narratives are slow-burns by design, drawing readers into layered worlds that twist reality and dismantle certainty one page at a time.
I’m Raven Moffitt, a Melbourne-based author living with Parkinson’s disease and Fibromyalgia. Writing isn’t just what I do, it’s the fire I’ve chosen to walk through. I’m currently racing the clock to publish ten books before the end of this year, not in spite of Parkinson’s, but because of it. Every story is an act of defiance. Every sentence is a promise that this disease does not get the final word. Welcome to my world. Stay a while. Just don’t look too closely at the trees.
