Empty
Daniel Mercer came to Australia to disappear for a while. He never imagined the Outback might grant his wish. When his vehicle breaks down hundreds of kilometres from anywhere, what begins as an inconvenience becomes a brutal fight against heat, thirst, isolation, and a landscape so vast it seems capable of swallowing him whole. Every decision matters. Every mouthful of water has a price. Every distant shape might be salvation, or another cruel trick of the heat.
Then Daniel begins hearing voices. Seeing people who aren't there. Finding traces of others who vanished before him. As dehydration strips away his strength and isolation dismantles his grip on reality, the greatest danger is no longer simply dying in the desert. It is no longer knowing what is real. Empty is a relentless psychological survival story about how quickly civilisation, certainty, and identity can disappear when one ordinary man discovers just how fragile he really is.
