For seventy-six years, Arthur Keegan has climbed the same lonely hill outside the tiny Victorian town of Blackwood Ridge. Instead, she finds impossible photographs, mountains scarred by unimaginable heat, decades of unexplained disappearances, and a secret others are prepared to hunt. As the storm closes over Blackwood Ridge, Mia must confront a truth Arthur has protected for most of his life: the dragon was never the monster. The real danger is what happens when humanity discovers it is real.
